Short answers to the things centres ask most. If something here is wrong or missing, tell us — this page is written from the app as it actually behaves.
1Publishing your page
- Your page is at scolara.net followed by the address you choose in Settings. Nobody can see it until you switch on “Activer ma page publique”.
- The colour palette dresses the whole page — headings, buttons and the background. Pick a preset, or choose “Personnalisé” and set one colour: the rest is derived from it.
- The numbers you show (success rate, students, teachers) are the ones you type. They are not counted automatically. Leave a 0 to hide one.
2Photos
- Photos are shrunk in your browser before they are sent, so a large photo from a phone uploads quickly even on mobile data.
- Adding photos does not replace the old ones — they are added to the end. The first photo is the one used as the large image at the top of your page, so to change what visitors see first, remove the old ones with the ✕ on each thumbnail.
- While your page is switched off, your photos are not served to anyone but you.
3Teachers and classes
- Create a teacher in Équipe and the app generates their username and password. Give it to them yourself — the app does not send emails.
- On first sign-in they must choose their own password. If one is lost, reset it from the same page and hand over the new one.
- Deactivating a teacher blocks their sign-in and stops them counting towards your invoice. It does not delete their classes.
4Live classes
- Students never share a camera or microphone until the teacher allows it. A student asks, the teacher approves, and the teacher can take it back at any moment.
- Each name in the participant list carries three bars showing that student's connection, and lights up when they speak — so a silent student and a frozen one look different.
- Two people signed into the same student account cannot attend at once: the second one in pushes the first one out. Every student needs their own account.
5Parents
- Every student has a private link that shows their parent a report: grades, attendance and the teacher's remarks. Copy it from the class page and send it by WhatsApp.
- Parents who open the Telegram link also receive announcements and payment reminders there. The web report stays the source of truth; Telegram is a convenience.
6Payments
- Scolara records payments, it does not take them. You collect money as you always have, then mark the month paid.
- Your own invoice is per active teacher, per month. Deactivating a teacher you no longer work with lowers it.
7When something looks wrong
- A photo or logo you just changed still shows the old one: reload the page with Ctrl+Shift+R (or pull down to refresh on a phone).
- The camera button does nothing: another tab or app is usually holding the camera. Close it and try again — the app will now tell you when the camera refuses.
- You installed Scolara on your phone from an older address: remove the icon, open scolara.net in the browser and add it to your home screen again.
